Do you know what to do if you think you might be pregnant? Most women buy a home pregnancy test when their period is late. Home pregnancy tests are generally an inexpensive option to see if you are pregnant, if used correctly and at the right time. However, if you are pregnant, you need confirmation.
Charis Center provides lab-grade pregnancy tests.

We will also request a phone number and ask permission to text you.
Arriving for your appointment
When you first arrive, you will be given paper work to complete and we will ask to make a copy of your state or federal identification card. If you do not have an identification card with you, we will take your picture for our file.
Charis Center has a calm and relaxing atmosphere but we understand you might be a little nervous. You can bring a friend or family member to join you for your appointment.
During the appointment
After you check in, our registered nurse will provide a urine testing give you the results of the test. Additionally, our nurses will ask questions about your medical history, including information about your menstrual cycle, health, etc. and provide information and options based on your answers.
If your pregnancy test is positive, we will schedule your ultrasound. Depending on how far along the pregnancy is, we may perform the ultrasound that day, or ask you to come back at a future date.
During the ultrasound, you’ll be reclined on an examination table. A small device with gel will be rolled over your lower abdominal area. This allows our nurses to view your uterus to confirm the age of the baby and if it’s safely in your uterus. You will be able to view the ultrasound via a video monitor mounted on the wall and will be provided photos to take home.
After your appointment
Once the pregnancy test and ultrasound are complete, you will be provided with documentation that confirms your pregnancy. This documentation can be use to enroll in SoonerCare. If you do not have an obstetrician, we will give you a list of local providers that are accepting new patients.
You will also be given information about our weekly Empowered Parenting classes and Baby Boutique. Expectant and new parents can earn points, or Baby Bucks, by attending parenting classes either in person or online. Baby Bucks can be used to purchase diapers, wipes, clothes, carseats, cribs and more.
